Tuesday: Feeling a little better. Got released from the hospital. I no longer have a fever. Not cured yet!
Wednesday: Stayed home from school recovering. I read a million blog posts to get motivated. Thanks to everyone who updates from Anti-blogs to South County Trails and everything in between.
Thursday: Took another day at home as I'm still not sure I could make it through an entire class period without blowing out my pants. At least I'm now able to laugh at this vision which probably means I'm getting better. I decided to try and run at Kilburn today, but I still have too much inflammation. I stopped after 3 minutes. I'm hoping I have a little bit of metachlorian in me like Ferenc. I'm eager to get back to school and start feeling like my old self.
Friday: Went back to school today. All my students were concerned and happy to have me back. I was pretty worn out at the end of the day. Not 100% yet, but I'm getting there.
Saturday: 4 mile hike in Madame Sherie's w/ students. Nice snowy morning in the woods. Zonked after. Each day I'm getting a little stronger.
Sunday: 2 mile run up Reservoir Rd in Pisgah w/Jimmy. No inflammation issues. Jimmy might have needed this more than I did. He was very happy to be back in the woods, and he finally seems content in the house. I felt pretty good. Nice snowy trails.

What a week. This has been my worst bout with Crohn's since I got diagnosed in 2005. My prednisone is working now, though it's a little slower to kick in than in years past. I've been experiencing this flare since late September, so it shouldn't be too shocking that it's going to take some time to feel 100%. I'm excited to have the winter off from coaching, so I can ease back into a good fitness routine. Hopefully this will lead to a healthy and happy 2013!
